Why Is It So Important To Feel Good About YourSelf?

Oh, forget about “Blue Monday” or “Black Friday“, the world is still revolving whether you are feeling good or lousy, happy or unhappy … But why should we feel lousy when we can choose to feel good?

If you have read about the “law of attraction”, you would know that it is very important to feel good about yourself.  Why is this so?  Just think about it …  Would “good stuff” come to you if you don’t feel good about yourself and think that you are unworthy to receive them?

So, if you are zealous to attract all of life’s good things into your life, it is of utmost importance to feel good about yourself …. How?  You can decide today that you will feel good about yourself no matter what happens …

Even the bible is in favour of this “feel good” mentality :-

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things” - Phil 4:8

So, are there ways to help you to feel good about yourself?  I have few tips here:-

1) If you like to compare yourself with others, then you have to stop this bad habit.  I am sure there are many unique things about yourself you like best, concentrate and focus on it.

2) Nobody can determine how you feel about yourself.  You cannot please everyone. There are a certain type of people who like to criticise everyone they come across. You can decide how you would respond when these negative “people” speak to you.

3) Find something to be happy about. Listen to your favorite music or go for exercise if you like it. You will certainly feel happier and “lighter”.

4) Be grateful with what you have; and share with the needy what you have. This is a great “tool” to feel good about yourself. Helping someone will certainly “elevate” your self-esteem.

5) Watch some “motivational” videos to change your “bad” mood to a “feel-good” attitude …  Below are good examples.
