It’s no longer a secret that the way to get good ranking in the search engines is to build backlinks. But besides backlinks, there are two other SEO tricks that are important but often overlooked. These two factors can play a significant role in getting SEO traffic.

Today we are going to discuss these 2 overlooked SEO tricks that can easily double your search engine traffic.

1) Title That Clicks

If you are a blogger or content website builder, besides choosing the right keyword and optimizing it, you should spend some time to come out with a title that will entice people to click.

Think about it. Even if your website rank #1 in the search result, if the title of the link is boring, people will just skip your link and move on to the next result.

This is commonsense, but it’s often overlooked, especially for those who outsource article writing.

Personally, although I outsource article writing for my content websites (aka Adsense websites), I still put in the effort to rewrite every title personally. This is because freelance writers are good in writing, but they are often not good in writing juicy title.

I run a program where I help members to promote their Adsense website (membership closed). The method I use to promote their websites is the exact same method that I use to promote mine. But strange enough, my Adsense websites perform much better than theirs. Honestly I can’t think of a logical explanation except for the fact that my titles are juicier than theirs!

The 8 Common SEO Mistakes

Leave the first response July 24, 2009 / Posted in Affiliate Marketing, Long Tail Keywords, SEO, SEO Websites, Start A Home Business, affiliate secrets, internet marketing, long tail keywords, make money online, making money online

As with any new venture, those starting out in the field of search engine optimization will most likely become familiar with at least a few of the more common SEO mistakes. Still, since you’re not a trailblazer in this arena - and assuming you take the time to learn what chronic and sometimes devastating mistakes were made by those who came before you, you have the potential to launch your site on) {strong footing. keeping this in mind, this article will attempt to outline the three most common and glaring SEO mistakes.

SEO Mistake #1:

Not entering a browser title. Search engines pay attention to this as well.

SEO Mistake #2:

Assuming META tags do the same work as optimized body text.

SEO Mistake #3:

Posting your site to more than the necessary number of search engines. Most online searches only come from the top 10 search engines so don’t waste your money or your time elsewhere.

SEO Mistake #4:

Outdated or skimpy content SEO is about more than just having your pages tagged|SEO is more than tagging pages|Tagging your pages isn’t all there is to SEO}. There needs to be plenty of content for search engines to read|Your site should have enough content for search engines to read|Search engines prefer to read an abundance (but not an overabundance) of fresh copy}. Older content tends to turn search engines off too.

SEO Mistake #5:

Not optimizing the right keywords. Keywords that are too generic, for example, won’t give you the success you want in SEO. Try to find key phrases that are less competitive and more relevant to your particular business.

SEO Mistake #5 :

Repeating Title Tags Many companies make the mistake of repeating their company’s name as the title tag for each of their web pages. Since your company likely already gets you high search results, this is a waste of valuable and searchable real estate|This is a waste of space seeing as your company’s name likely garners you good search results to begin with|Consider using this space with other more unique key words, since your company name likely already nets high search results}.

SEO Mistake #6:

Using pictures in your headline area instead of searchable text. Search engines look at the headline section. Search engines can’t read words built with images, so use a font that looks like what you want, but don’t sacrifice the section for the so-called “perfect” font that a browser can’t even read. It defeats the purpose.

SEO Mistake #7:

Having a Flash-only site that a browser can’t read.

SEO Mistake #8:

Leaving the SEO work until after the design work is complete. Design and SEO should go hand in hand if an optimized website is what you desire.

Why Keyword Research Spells Success In Affiliate Marketing

Leave the first response July 22, 2009 / Posted in Affiliate Marketing, Long Tail Keywords, SEO, Start A Home Business, Start A New Blog, advertising, affiliate secrets, long tail keywords, make money online, making money online, website traffic

If a customer doesn’t know you exist and that you are offering what they need, you can’t call yourself a successful affiliate marketer. In order to succeed, this is exactly why keyword research is so fundamental and that is why so many successful marketers spend at least one day just on keyword research.

Internet marketers know that keywords are not to be dismissed for ensuring an affiliate marketing campaign is viable. If you want your affiliate website to land you at the top of the heap in any search engine results, you’ll need to strategically employ keywords. Therefore, doing your homework or keyword research about the product or service you’re being asked to advertise by a merchant is one of the most important tasks an affiliate marketer takes on.

Keywords are an essential if not the essential component of internet marketing. It’s believed that the proper selection of keywords is what turns visitors into buyers. Online advertising is similar to traditional advertising in the way it employs words and phrases to connect consumers to their wares. Therefore, keyword research involves more than just simply finding words that wind up in search results, but also understanding your target customer’s language, motivations and inclinations.

The more popular a keyword is in search engine results, the more costly the price per click will be to an affiliate marketer. The opposite is also true.

Do not overlook less popular keywords however, since they also tend to cost less per click. For struggling or new affiliates, employing lower priority keywords can be a great cost-saving measure. The more successful an affiliate you are, the more you’ll have to inevitably take on the expense of top keywords. The perfect mix of keywords, therefore, depends on strong keyword research and an even stronger understanding of where you currently fit in the marketplace.

In conculsion make sure that you do a proper keyword research. Start your marketing with some cheaper and lesser searched keywords and build your success from this foundation.

How To Drive Traffic To A New Website?

Leave the first response July 17, 2009 / Posted in Affiliate Marketing, LeadsLeap, Start A Home Business, Start A New Blog, advertising, internet marketing, make money online, traffic, website hits, website traffic

Hey, there are many ways to drive traffic to your website or blog but how do you drive traffic to a new website?

So, here it is, another great article titled “How To Drive Traffic To A New Website ” by Mr Kenneth Koh of LeadsLeap. If you have a new website or blog, it makes alot of sense to spare some time to read it :)

Kenneth Koh of LeadsLeap wrote:

After spending weeks to set up a website, the next challenge is, how to drive traffic to your new website?

If this is the challenge you’re facing, you are not alone. One of our members, Gina, is having the same question. Here’s her question:

“Thanks to your f.ree list builder script, I now have my own website ready. My question is, what should I do next to get traffic to my new website and build list?” - Gina

Hi Gina,

Congratulations. You are one of the few action takers. Most people can’t even pass the stage of building a website.

Before you start to drive traffic to your new website, you need to get a second opinion on the website. Just get your siblings and close friends to take a look at your website, subscribe to the list and go through the entire sales process. Ask them for their opinions. Now, 99% of the time, they are going to say they are not interested in your offer. That’s expected because they are not your target audience. You just want them to comment on the look and feel of your website. You want to make sure that your new website looks professional in the eyes of others.

Once you know that you have a well-designed and working website, you are ready to drive traffic to it.

First, if you have a list, promote it to your own list. You can use this chance to test how well your new website is converting.

You can also advertise in places that can get you targeted traffic. (If your website is in the internet marketing niche, you can subscribe to our PRO membership. That will usually get you 400-500 traffic every month.)
